The Amsteel Blue is a resistant synthetic cord like a steel cable but with an impressive lightness, it also offers great resistance to abrasion.

It is made with Dyneema SK75 with Samthane coverage of high resistance to abrasion, with eight braided strands. The resistance is even greater than that of a metal cable of the same section and is very flexible, manageable and easy to use in knots.

It is used in the manufacture of "Whoopie Slings", ultralight slings for the installation of hammocks, but its lightness and resistance make it really useful in any outdoor application.

Sinceramente, creí­a que lo conocí­a todo en relación a que llevar de utilidad en salidas y aventuras. No me creí­a lo de este cordón y sí­, es ligerí­simo y de una resistencia extrema. Resulta que en un mí­nimo espacio llevo la solución para vivac, toldos, colgar hamacas etc. Una autentica pasada.

Aun no he tenido ocasion de probar la resistencia pero parece robusta y de calidad.Gracias al video del canal de youtube ya tengo hechas mis whoopie slings para mi hamaca. Se ahorra bastante espacio comparando con las cinchas que usaba antes y el sistema de ajuste es comodisimo.

no lo he puesto a prueba, pero que aguante 3/4 de tonelada con un grosor de 2,5 mm es para tenerlo muy en cuenta, ni el paracord ni el cordino aguantan tanto.
