Hammer Piolet Bandit Singing Rock

The Singing Rock Piolet Bandit hammer is one of the two versions in which we can find this versatile mountaineering tool. The other version would be the shovel.

It has a modular design, which gives it great versatility to adapt to any situation within climbing. Therefore, it is a very practical tool to use both in technical mountaineering and ice climbing.

It has a modular head , made of hot forged aluminum. Its shape makes it easy to catch in crevices and provides support when climbing in soft snow. Its weight is studied so that the force when thrown, facilitates the entry of the blade into the ice.

The head has a hole, which allows the ice ax to be attached to a gear-holder carabiner, or to incorporate a leash strap so that it does not get lost.

This Bandit ice ax from Singing Rock is presented in the hammer version, which is made of hardened steel. In cases of demanding mixed climbing, it is possible to use the ice ax without the hammer and without the shovel, since they are modular.

This ice ax can be used with two types of blade, the Ice Pick model (included), and the Dry Pick (not included). Stainless steel counterweights are also included for more efficient balancing. The blades are made of chromed steel.

The handle is made of hot-forged aluminum, and has a suitable curvature, which allows it to be easily anchored to ice or rock.

It has an ergonomic handle , which is made of double-density plastic, thus allowing a good grip and thermal insulation. The handle has a removable intermediate hook called Rhino, which allows a variety of grips, and with another removable lower support, called Boxer, which offers protection to the fingers and makes it possible to climb without a leash.

The spike is made of hot-forged aluminum, and its hole allows a carabiner or a Bungee strap to be attached to prevent it from getting lost.
